Bad Lieutenant: Off Broadway
Synopsis: Lieutenant Jason Crispen (Chris Klein) is addicted to drugs, booze, gambling and women, but most of all he’s addicted to being a cop. While investigating a brutal murder at an off Broadway theater, Crispen’s unorthodox and unethical methods of investigation expose the rotten underbelly of the New York City theater scene. Crispen is surrounded by a “cast” of characters, including the theater owner & human trafficker Vaughan Alexander (Curtis Jackson) and the beautifully dangerous rising star Katie Shea (Thora Birch). Nothing is as it seems as Crispen’s decent into drug fueled paranoia ramps up to a fever pitch. While Bad Lieutenant: Off Broadway follows Ferrara’s framework, Uwe Boll’s frenetic vision is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
